Life In Season {And A Giveaway!}
Happy December, friends! Are you enjoying this holiday season? How is the Christmas shopping coming along?
Well, if you need a wonderful and meaningful gift idea, I’ve got a great one for you today: Life In Season, Celebrate the Moments That Fill Your Heart & Home. I’ve been reading this book lately and it is so warm, encouraging, and inspiring. Two sisters, Vanessa Hunt and Heather Patterson, the authors of At the Picket Fence Blog wrote this book together. I just love that, since we are a group of sisters and a mom here at The Gingham Apron as well.
Ok, let me tell you about this book, because you’re really gonna love it! First of all, it’s a really beautiful hardback with lovely gold finishes. It looks great on a table and feels substantially heavy in your hands. I know that we are in an age of ebooks, but I still love to snuggle up with a high quality book or place a beautiful book in my home.
And then you open it up, and there are exquisite pictures of homes, holidays, decor, and favorite seasonal treats. I absolutely love how it is organized by seasons because they are such a fun and defining part of life. I am especially enjoying the Winter section and the devotional about Mary right now.
As Mary awaited the arrival of her son, the son who was also her Savior, I’ve often wondered if she was consumed with thoughts of how different her life was now going to be. -Life in Season
Now let’s talk about the content. The sisters write about life, family, faith and home. They observe God’s goodness, love, and all of his gifts in our daily lives. They share about hospitality, relationships, and keeping our focus on our God who fulfills us in all areas. Warm thoughts encourage and compel the reader as she reads each devotional.
Only He can provide us with the kind of peace, security, and rest that will make us feel at home no matter where we are or what challenges we face. -Life in Season
And then, there are lots of fun extras including (very easy, practical!) craft ideas, DIY gift ideas, and favorite family recipes.
Alright, not that I’ve peeked your interest, there’s great news! Thanks to the authors, I’ve got two copies of Life in Season to send to two fortunate readers. Perhaps you’ll give this as a Christmas gift or keep it for yourself. Enter below!
