This week the kiddos and I made some festive 4th of July cookies. We ate half of them and froze the other for actual Independence Day.
Have you ever frozen cookie dough? It’s something I started doing a handful of years ago and I love it. I often double a cookie recipe (because, well I have lots of sweet tooth’s in my house) and one batch I make into the tablespoon size dough balls and flash freeze them and then transfer them to a freezer safe container. Then, anytime I like, I can have warm homemade cookies ready in a jiffy…that is, if the kids don’t eat all the frozen dough first!
4th of July is one of my favorite times of the Summer, it is going to look a lot different this year, but I am determined to make it just as memorable and fun. One way to accomplish this is with yummy patriotic themed treats! These M&M cookies are the perfect snack for your BBQ or celebration. Be sure to give them a try!

Thanks more fun recipe ideas! I have enjoyed you ladies and your blog almost since its inception. I have noticed that you have not had a lot of posts these past few months and references to “making the fourth fun and memorable” and this year being “different”. I am curious. What has happened? A farm accident? Disease? Death?
You really don’t have to tell me, but I feel there is something that needs prayers here.
