4th of July Favorites

Surely you know of the saying, “Knee high by the Fourth of July” in reference to what the height of corn should be.  And…I think it’s (almost) there!  We have had an unusual planting season this year with an abundance of rain – pushing back the planting into May and even some finishing up in June.

You may have also heard of, “Cherry Pie for the Fourth of July.”  So who’s having Cherry Pie for the Fourth of July?

I personally, love the Fourth of July.  It seems like the epitome of summer – right in between June and August. A time to not only express our patriotism, but enjoy parades, fireworks, bounce houses, and pies.  Because this is such a favorite holiday, we have many favorite recipes to share with you!

The fruit trays are simple, but yet beautiful and colorful.  With this one I threw in some of the cream cheese fruit dip and then some red, white, and blue M&Ms.  You can mix it up however you wish 🙂
