These 7 up biscuits are buttery, flakey biscuits that are super simple to make. With only four ingredients, can you really go wrong? You can serve them for breakfast with some jam or even as a nice side of bread to your meal. My personal favorite is along side this fried chicken recipe. I mean, can you have fried chicken without biscuits? I think not!
7 Up Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups baking mix bisquick or jiffy, plus additional for sprinkling work surface
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup 7up or another clear lemon-lime soda
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Cut the sour cream into the 2 cups baking biscuit mix.
- Stir in 1/2 cup 7 up, the dough will be very soft.
- Sprinkle about 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup baking mix onto your work surface. Gently knead the dough until coated with mix and pat dough flat. Using a biscuit cutter or the top of a glass and cut dough into 9 circles.
- Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 8x8" baking dish covering entirely. Place biscuits on top of melted butter.
- Bake apprx 12-15 minutes until starting to brown and cooked through.
