Our neighbor, Wayne, knocked on our front door one cool autumn day a few years back. As I opened the door, there he stood with a pan of fresh baked apple dessert, still hot–fresh from the oven. Wayne gathered plenty of apples from his tree in the back yard, he said, and thought he’d share them with us. Not only were we impressed with his generosity, his apple dessert was fabulous! Since that day, this is the only apple “crisp” dessert I will make. It’s fantastic, and it makes just the right amount.
Hope you enjoy it, too! And maybe, just maybe, you’ll share your extra apples with your neighbors, as well. 🙂
