A couple of weeks ago I went on a class field trip with the kindergartners to Springbrook Park outside of Guthrie Center. Our kindergartners saw lots of neat things as they learned about nature. The highlight of the kid’s day was that they saw a baby deer. (It was the highlight of my day, as well.)
I was reminded of the song and verse “as the deer” as I stared into the eyes of that spotted little creature. Just as the bible says, we too thirst for God. He made us that way. We are most satisfied when we place Jesus Christ first in our lives and live for Him.
Psalms 42:1 “As the deer pants for the streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God“
