I’m visiting the grandkids today! Olivia shared a beautiful poem with me. She is learning it as she writes in cursive. We’d like to share it with you, too!
Autumn’s Splendor
Autumn’s chill is in the air
The leaves are bright arrayed,
Summer softly steps aside.
As this autumn scene is made.
Fields are ripe with golden corn
Farmers hauling in the grain,
Children romping in the leaves
This is summer’s last refrain.
A flock of geese goes flying south
Thanksgiving time draws near,
We pause and give our thanks to God,
Beneath this Autumn skies so clear.
