Hello readers! I hope today as you are reading this that you are healthy and safe.
I’m wondering, what are some things that are bringing you some peace right now?
I am spending more time in the Psalms. Psalm 90,91, and 62 are my (current) favorites. I read them, think about them, and pray them for my family and friends.
Psalm 62:5-8
Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
What are some things that are bringing you a lot of joy right now? For me, it’s baking! I love that the extra time allows for some more baking. Today I thought I’d share some of our family’s favorite baked recipes. Now is the time to a new type of baked good, right? Added bonus: your house will smell amazing! Let’s get started!
You won’t believe how wonderful this bread tastes! And you also won’t believe how quick and easy this bread is to make. No-kneading required! Only four ingredients! (Do I have you convinced to try it yet?)

If you are GF, than this one is for you. We aren’t GF, and we still make this recipe, because it is incredible. Make a cup of coffee and linger over this delicious treat. Zoom somebody close to you to really make a memorable time. You won’t regret it.
Our mornings have been slower and so we’ve made lots of different kinds of muffins and enjoyed them over some lengthened Bible study time. Shelby’s cranberry orange muffins are a favorite. This last week we read the book of Esther. This verse really challenged me. Esther 4:14 “And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther lived in exceptional times, and God had exceptional plans for her. We too are living in exceptional times. What is God requiring from us? Let’s ask him today.
Stuffed Italian Meat and Cheese Bread
This savory recipe is an absolute treat as an appetizer or alongside your an Italian Salad or this scrumptious Italian Chicken.
Simple Dessert Pizza. We make this pizza most Friday nights. Heavenly!
This bread recipe of my mom’s is a traditional recipe that does require a little more time than my quick and easy artisan bread, but it is totally worth the investment. This bread is soft and light and wonderful. And now is the perfect time to learn how to make a great loaf of homemade bread.
Cinnamon rolls make everything better, and this recipe of Molly’s adds in raspberries, making these a lovely spring treat.
Yes, many of the donut shops are closed, but you can make delicious donuts at home! These have a secret ingredient (nutmeg) that give them a bakery taste.
The Best Keto (Sugar-Free) Chocolate Cake
If you are watching sugar and carb intake (like me) then this cake is for you. The main ingredient of this cake is zucchini, which makes for a light, moist, chocolate cake. And I promise you don’t taste the zucchini.
One of our family’s favorite desserts has always been fruit pizza, and this sugar-free version is just as good as the original!
