Our Best Make-Ahead Side Dishes for a Memorial Day BBQ

***This post originally was published 5 years ago! The kids have grown a lot, but we are still enjoying these Memorial Day favorites. Hope you do, too!***

Memorial Day! The unofficial start of summer, a day to celebrate our freedom, and a wonderful time to enjoy some favorite summer dishes.

In our family, we usually grill burgers, brats, and hotdogs on Memorial Day and then make some delicious and fun side dishes to really jazz up the meal. With a little planning, Memorial Day food can be very minimal work on the day-of the BBQ, which means more relaxed fun with family or friends. So today, I’ve rounded up our best make-ahead dishes so that you can have a delicious and relaxing Memorial Day, too!

Chick-fil-A Cole Slaw

Simple, tangy, and just a hint of sweet. Mix up the dressing days earlier, and just toss with the veggies right before your meal.
