Although summer is not officially here yet, the temperatures seem to be saying something different. This whole week is going to be in the 90’s, so that means lots of pool and grilling time! It’s so nice to have some go-to recipes for the grill, so I don’t heat up my kitchen. (Plus, grilling is always fun on Father’s Day! Dads seem to love grilled food.) Here are a few of our best recipes for the grill:
Balsamic Lime Chicken Fajitas– Hands-Down, this is one our my family’s favorite meals. I especially love it for entertaining, because I can prepare the awesome marinade the night before and just pop the chicken and veggies on the grill when it’s time for the meal. The meat is bursting with fresh, Mexican flavors.
Grilled Pork Chops with Honey Balsamic Barbeque Sauce– Living in Iowa means access to lots of high quality, fresh pork. We love the flavor of grilled pork chops, and this simple BBQ sauce (no cooking involved- just stir it together!) sends these over the top.
Grouper On The Grill– Light and fresh and healthy. Molly loves serving up this amazing seafood to her family.
Grilled Steak – My mom gives detailed instructions in this recipe about how to get a perfectly grilled steak. She doesn’t use a marinade, but her steaks are amazing. Simplicity at it’s finest!
Cilantro Lime Chicken– Molly’s cilantro lime chicken is wonderful on its own or on top of a fresh, crisp lettuce salad. Love the versatility of this delicious dish!
Bacon Blue Cheese Burger– This burger is the creation of my husband, and a favorite with our kids. This is the recipe that was featured in our visit with Welcome Home, Des Moines, and we had a great response from readers. You can never go wrong with burgers and bacon, of course!
I hope these recipes make your summer meals easy, tasty, and fun! Happy Summer!
P.S. We can’t forget dessert! Let’s keep our kitchens cook with the DELICIOUS No-bake Peach Pie!
