It’s early morning and regardless of the weather, the livestock need to eat. Mr. Farmer just went out to feed the calves in the lot some corn and to do some haying. Virtually no one is on the high way. It’s quiet, it’s peaceful and it’s so, so beautiful. Is the snowfall over? Not yet.. Around 8″ have fallen and it’s still coming down. Many cancellations have been scrolling across the bottom of the TV screen….haven’t heard whether our church will have services or not. Oh….the email just came in…no services. Mr. Farmer just called with a road report. “When the wind picks up, it won’t be good.”
So,… I can pour myself another cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy the beauty of the earth from my little corner of the world. February has been ushered in to SW Iowa in a non-surprising way.
Besides the beauty, there is something else I love about this weather. SNOW ICE CREAM WITH HERSHEY’S SYRUP! Jen loves making it for our family.
Psalm 67
“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us. God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.”
Amen and amen.
