The parties and punch have ended.
The candy and finely decorated cookies, gobbled and gone.
The flowers will soon fade and be tossed
But LOVE will remain
The decorations will be boxed and stored for yet another year.
The cards will be folded and layed to rest
But LOVE will remain
For lOVE is a choice we choose to receive. It is a gift to be given. And it comes from God.
“I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” Jeremiah 31:3
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE.”
“lOVE is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. (From the LOVE chapter….I Corinthians 13)
Pursue love. Pursue God’s help. Pursue the word of God….that’s where to get the faith to love.
Valentine’s Day comes but once a year. Love sustains us every day of the year.
“Beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God and eveyone who loveth is born of God and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God for God is love. Beloved let us love one another.” I John 4:7,8
