Doesn’t this look like a good start to a Christmas project?
The family came over yesterday, and we had a blast making candy nativity scenes.
The stables were made from graham crackers and “straw” colored coconut.
Baby Jesus (a marshmallow and gum drop) lay in his manger.
Sheep were made from black licorice and marshmallows.
And the shepherds carried a staff.
We had so much fun listening to Christmas music and creating together.
This was our kind of project- not too serious, messy, and fun.
Yes, we did have a little trouble here and there. (Eek!)
But overall, this project was a sweet success!
We found this project at Gingerbread Nativity. Check it out for complete directions and a supply list.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you; you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.
