Hello Friends!
The weather outside is……Delightful, so it’s time I get off my duff and out the door to enjoy it this afternoon. There is raking to do and sticks to pick up and well, let’s just say some outdoor Spring Cleaning. I know it’s going to take many days out there because my yard is rather large. And I like it that way and I’m ready for the challenge.
Yesterday I hopped in the pickup truck with Mr. Farmer to check the cows in the pastures around our house. What a lovely time we had together. The beauty of the earth was breathtaking as we drove over the pond dam, through a grove of trees and up a large ravine. Yes, it was a little bumpy. I didn’t mind. 🙂
With all that is going on these days, I NEEDED to get a little outdoor refreshment in our wide-open spaces. Boy was this good medicine for me. Planet earth (in our neck of the woods) is finally coming to life.
The sun shone brightly as we drove up and down the pasture hills searching for new little calves and mamas. Two had been born within the hour, so that was exciting for me to see these beautiful gentle creatures have their first meals. Of course their mamas were very cautious of us getting to close.
The great outdoors calls for me from early Spring to late November. Once growing stops I pretty much hibernate, like a Mama Bear. It’s been way past time to get out and about but circumstances just hadn’t allowed for it yet.
The sunshine on my face and the green meadows before me, dotted with life, brought my soul singing with thanksgiving and gratefulness.
Our family has walked through some heavy times of late. These verses kept me from wading deep into the mire:
Isaiah 26:3,4 “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
Hope you can get out today to take a walk, dig in the dirt or rake up some of last year’s growth to make way for new. I’m seeing tulips, daffodils and hyacinths ready to emerge. How about you?
“May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You! May those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!”
Psalm 70: 4

So enjoy the Ginghamapron website and especially your comments and faith. Our country is going through a rough time, but God holds us in His hands and there’s no better place to be. Have printed out a number of the recipes and my family enjoys them. Thanks!

Good morning, Ann,
You have made my day! Thank you for responding to Tuesday’s blog. Our goal, here at The Gingham Apron is to tell the world how wonderful our God is and also to let people know that the Christian life is the best life on earth and a guarantee to life everlasting.
Isn’t it SO COMFORTING to know, from His word, that He does hold us in the palm of His hands and that NOTHING or NO ONE has the strength or power to pluck us out. That brings a big smile to my face.
Thank you so very much for following us and for complimenting us. It means a lot.
