Chocolate Almond Bars

Got a new cookie bar recipe to share with you today. It’s quick and easy to make. You can switch out the almonds for pecans, walnuts, or whatever nut you prefer.

Buttery crust

First comes the buttery crust. While that’s baking away, the other ingredients are combined and melted on the stovetop. I told you it was easy. 🙂

Combining and melting the filling on the stovetop.

Do you see those hands? Those are Anna’s hard-working hands. She is a great cook! She mixed and patted down the crust.

Anna, a great little cook.

Of course, it is a must for great little cooks to taste-tests as they go. Wouldn’t you agree. She was great at that, too. 🙂 A + Yep, she thought this bar recipe was a winner. Hope you like it, too.

    1. Hello Idahoan! So glad you are gathering together with us! Thanks for your comment. Ya know, I would have made that batch with pecans but I was fresh out from all the Christmas baking and I didn’t want to run to town for more, so I used what was in the freezer. Yes, this recipe with pecans would make me want to have seconds, for sure.
Blessings to you and yours, as well!
