I am going to try to get through this post without drooling. Theses bars are hands down my favorite! However, I rarely make them…why, you ask? Well, because I will eat the entire pan myself…I won’t even apologize about it, they are that good. (ha) But really, this recipe is delicious and came from my Aunt Linda. She is such a sweet lady, and I couldn’t ask for a better Aunt. She knows these are my favorite and has blessed me (or maybe cursed me) with delivering an entire pan after each of my babies were born. The struggle was real those weeks. Baby weight off or chocolate caramel pecan bars in? (sigh)
My husband can single handedly take down a pan himself as well. The kids love them too. The last time I made them it was to take to an event, I intentionally made them while the kids were napping and the hubby was out of the house, stuck them on top of the fridge to hide them from everyone (myself included). Went to get the bars out the next morning and found one single row left. Imagine my surprise as I cut them into tiny little bite size pieces and tried to arrange them on a little plate to appear as I had enough share. haha!
Ok, ok….here’s the recipe. Just remember…I warned you about how delicious they are…layers of goodness ahead!
