Are you looking for a reason to celebrate Cinco de Mayo today? Does good food count? I think it’s pretty fascinating that our country adapts some of other countries’ traditions and culture. I’m anticipating some zesty guacamole and refreshing salsa with tortilla chips! Yum!
So what really is Cinco de Mayo? A quick snapshot of history tells us that it is a celebration of the victory of the Mexican Army defeating the French at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War on May 5, 1862! I’m jumping on board with this holiday. Mexico has a spectacular way of celebrating with it’s bright and colorful goods and lively music. I hope you will too!
