Oh the holiday season is about to kick off and the excitement level is escalating. I am anticipating the joy of gathering together with lots of family and friends over the next several weeks. However, we all know that this time of year can become busy and stressful as well. The past few years I have been trying to cut down or alleviate some of that stress in any way I can. One way I have found to do that is to plan ahead on the holiday menus, make and freeze items beforehand so I am spending less time in the kitchen and can avoid last minute trips to the grocery store over the holidays.
Making cookie dough in advance and freezing it is a must in my house. My family has become accustomed to fresh baked cookies especially over the holidays. I actually try to have at least one of your typical cookie doughs, such as Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Oatmeal in the freezer at all time. However, when the holidays come around, my cookie recipes change to include this delicious Cranberry White Chocolate Chip cookies (as well as Perfect Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies)
These Cranberry White Chocolate Chip cookies are soft and chewy and the added cranberries make them perfect this time of year. Not forgetting to mention the flavor combination of the white chocolate and cranberries is delicious.
Do you have any menu planning or short cuts you try to accomplish to alleviate your holiday stress? Consider making some cookie dough ahead of time for an easy homemade treat within minute with not fuss!
