Years ago my sister-in-law brought this dish to a family gathering……over 40 odd years ago, I might add. Our family all fell in love with it. As a result, our family fell in love with this dish! To this day we refer to it as “Debbie’s Vegetable Casserole” and we all know what we’re talking about. I’m certain you’ll love it as much as we do. It’s so simple to make—it makes a large dish so you can cute it in half in need be, but I never do as we love it reheated. Love the onion rings inside the casserole as well as outside. Plus, it just goes with everything.
- 2 packages frozen french cut green beans
- 2 packages frozen cauliflower
- 2 packages chopped broccoli
- 1 small can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 2 cans french fried onion rings
- 1 lb. shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- Dump everything together in a big bowl except for 1 can onion rings. Bake in casserole dish for approx an hour--nice and bubbly. Add last can of onion rings on top the last 10 minutes.
