Good Morning! And what a beautiful sunrise it was this morning. This past week, the weather has been warmer than the norm– up in the 50’s—, but that ended yesterday. It is currently the typical upper 20’s with beautiful sunrises and sunsets….hopefully the fog and haze from the “balmy” temperatures are gone. I love the sunshine. It seems to invigorate me….how about you?
Christmas is coming! It’s just around the corner, now. You can see the hustle and bustle a midst the shoppers, and feel enthusiasm in the air. There is stress…..there is excitement….there are lists to shorten with many tasks to perform. The days are getting shorter with the sunrises and sunsets closer together. And…. they are getting shorter as the 25th approaches. Many, like myself, still have a very long “to do” list to cross off!
Whatever is on your list today, I hope you will slow the pace, fix yourself a warm cup of cider or coffee or tea or hot chocolate……. and meditate………. on God’s word…… for a bit today. It seems to settle the dust on my feet and calm my anxious heart. Take time today to be refreshed, refocused and refueled.. Ask the Lord to use you to love, to help and to pray for the needs around you, and for your own needs. He loves to help you. He loves you so much!
I’ve been camping out in the book of Luke. The Christmas story begins at chapter 1. Let me tell you….there is so much to ponder. That first Christmas was soooo amazing! Miracle after miracle after miracle was performed. It’s a wonderful feeling to open God’s word, read a little, sip a little and meditate a little. It’s the perfect recipe to want to make you count your blessings as we prepare for the celebration of God coming to earth to rescue us. Enjoy your time with the Savior….just you and Him, today.
Merry Christmas!
