I have been searching for a way to hang a wreath on our front door without permanently altering the door. There are several options out there but with the fluctuating Midwest weather, I have yet to find a long term solution. Just recently I mentioned it to a friend. “It’s simple” she said, and indeed it was. All you need is a 3M hanging strip, the trick is mounting it upside down on the interior of your house. Done! A way to hang your wreath that will not be effected by temperature and should not damage your doors in any way.
I have attached a picture of mine. I had some extra espresso spray paint so I sprayed a quick coat on the white 3M strip to blend with our door and then mounted it upside down on the interior of my front door. Next all you need is to cut a piece of ribbon, twine, fishing lure (whatever your choice is) and cut it to the correct specifications to where you want your wreath to hang on your door. Then attach your ribbon to your wreath tie a knot and hook it to your upside down command strip. Voila, damage free hanging!
