I’ve been spoiled (in more ways than once, but right now I’m focusing on theater kettle corn)! When I go to the big fancy theaters in Des Moines, I always buy the kettle corn. I always say to myself, “I can do this at home.” Well, I tried this recipe and was totally satisfied!
Easy Kettle Corn
Ingredients
- 10 C microwaved popcorn your favorite
- 1/3 C corn syrup
- 1 T water
- 1/2 C sugar
- Combine in 4 C measuring cup or similar sized bowl and microwave 1 min. Stir and microwave another minute. Stir and microwave 30 seconds.
- 2-4 T sugar
- 1/4 t salt
Instructions
- Make sure all "Old Maids" are removed from popped corn. Give it a shake, as they move to the bottom of the bow.
- Prepare 2 baking sheets with sides by placing foil in each.
- Place popcorn on baking sheets. Pour syrup in thin stream over all popcorn. Sprinkle sugar and salt over top
- Bake 5 minutes at 350. Take out, give it a good stir and place back in oven for 5 more minutes.
- Pour onto waxed paper or parchment paper. Cool, break up.
Now grab a drink and pop in your favorite DVD and you’re good to go–without leaving your home.
Enjoy and have a beautiful week!
