Do you like to make resolutions? Are you able to stick to them? A new year is upon us, and I’ve been thinking about my New Year’s resolution.
I’m not usually a resolution maker, because I don’t love adding another thing to my to-do list. But this year, I’m feeling a bit differently, and I think that’s because my life changed so much this past October when I was hospitalized and diagnosed with diabetes.
So many people reached out to me at that time. Hospital visits, meals, and help with my kids lifted our burdens. And so many people encouraged me with WORDS. Texts, calls, notes, and cards in the mail all communicated that someone was thinking about me and praying for me. And that’s what I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. How can I follow the example of people in my life by using my words to encourage, build-up, and just show I care? So my New Year’s resolution is to reach out more to others with encouraging words.
One way that I love to do this is through sending cards, but keeping stocked up on cards, getting them filled out, and sending them on time gets overwhelming. Does it for you, too?
I recently was introduced to a really cool company, Paperless Post. It stuck in my mind because it offers beautifully designed, online stationary. I was immediately impressed by the stunning beauty and light-hearted creativity! Take a look at a few of my favorites. I know cards like these will help me commemorate birthdays:
And cards like these will help me celebrate with friends:
And let someone know I’m wanting them to feel better:
Or that I’m really missing them:
Paperless Post also offers amazing invitations and greeting cards that make parties and holiday gatherings just a little bit easier and more fun:
And I’ve also realized that Paperless Post cards can be personalized and scheduled to be delivered at a later date! How cool and helpful!
So here’s to a new year. And here’s to keeping things beautiful, fun, and simple while lifting others up with our actions and words.
