When I think of appetizers I rarely think of sweet…however, this Funfetti Cake Batter Dip has me rethinking my approach. My sister brought this appetizer over and the kids and myself were scarfing it down. Just the right amount of sweet and fun! I am thinking this may become a birthday party regular right along with this popular Popcorn Munch. Simple to throw together and a “no bake” option you can make ahead of time and pull out when the party starts. Serve with scooby doo snacks, animal crackers or for your more sophisticated crowd, graham crackers! 😉 Load on the sprinkles to make it extra colorful and enjoy!
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 9 oz cool whip, thawed
- ⅓ - ⅔ cup milk (start with ⅓ cup and add more as needed)
- 1 box funfetti cake mix
- Add cream cheese and cool whip together in a large mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Add cake mix and ⅓ cup milk and stir until combined. Dip will begin very thick, so add more milk a little at a time until desired consistency. (I used the full ⅔ cup for mine)
- refrigerate until ready to eat.
- Serve with desired dippers...graham crackers, animal crackers, vanilla wafers
