Yay, for generous friends with gardens! Just when I start to get bummed out that I didn’t plant a garden, one of my dear friends shares some of her fresh green beans with me. I enjoy fresh green beans just about anyway…snapped and washed, steamed, with a nice white sauce or my current favorite way steamed and then tossed with garlic, parmesan and a few other seasonings. Yum, perfect side to a grilled ribeye…or any meal. These green beans are full of flavor and healthy, be sure to give them a try this Summer!
- 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed and washed
- 3 Tbs extra light olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic sliced
- dash of salt
- pinch of pepper
- 3 Tbs grated parmesan cheese
- Steam your green beans to desired tenderness and move to a serving bowl.
- Toss with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and parmesan.
- Let stand for 7-10 minutes and then remove garlic slices.
- Serve and enjoy
