Psalm 9: 1 & 2
I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonders.
I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High!
It’s a beautiful morning here in the Midwest! The sun is brightly shining, and the men are beginning the corn harvesting. Yay! The soybeans are virtually done on this very last day of October. The Lord has granted good weather for harvesting. The highways and byways are noisy all over this great state of Iowa as the farmers are in high gear harvesting with their combines, hauling away with the tractors and grain carts, and semi-trucks are in high gear headed for a nearby Coop on on-sight storage bins. They are working hard with smiles on their faces.
In the meantime, the cattle are happily eating off the still green pasture. Mr. Bull continues to enjoy another hedge apple from the osage orange trees. I certainly hope it’s alright for him to eat! 🙂
It truly is a beautiful day in this rural countryside. And I’m thankful for the work of harvest! Blessed be Your Name, dear Lord!
