I overheard our men yesterday….phones ringin’ out of their pockets….. that today might be the day. What day, you ask? The day the combines rush to the soybean field.
With the summer and fall rains that haven’t let up, our crops have been late in ripening this year. We are a good 2 to 3 weeks behind schedule in SW Iowa and the farmers have been “chompin’ at the bit”!
On my way to town, I pulled in at the shop and snapped a shot of 2 combines. The guys were finishing the last details of the “check ups”. Then, on my way home I noticed one was missing and I thought, “that green machine is in high gear right now and so are my guys…..with smiles on their faces.
Salute! To Our Men and the Neighbors…… and all the Men in the Midwest: Happy Harvesting!!!! And safe travels!
