Fall is here (!!!!), and my family couldn’t be more excited. What is it about fall? Surrounded by unbelievable colors, crisp temperatures, and earthy smells, my thoughts turn towards cozy. Cozy meals, cozy home, cozy everything. Today I thought I’d round up some our our favorite fall everythings.
Pumpkin
Naturally pumpkin comes to mind when I think of fall. I can’t wait to to make these favorites soon.
Soup
There are tooooo many good soups to choose from! A simmering soup in the kitchen fills our home with lovely smells throughout the day and my kiddo’s tummy with warm nutrition. I love soup! Here are a few of my family’s favorites, but you can find LOTS more ideas here.
Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
And don’t forget the bread!
Apples
Apples are abundant in Iowa and California in the fall, and I’m sure we will be enjoying one or two of these recipes. What do you like to make with apples?
Home
We’ll be popping some pumpkins on the front step soon, and I’ll also be adding a few of these touches to our home.
The leaves and hedge balls (do you know what these funny things are?) are falling on the farm, and harvest will be starting any day now. So much excitement!
Fall Inspiration
Fall makes me want to invite friends over for simple, comforting meals. I’ll pull out my Table Life book to be inspired. For more inspiration I’ll read these devotions.
Ginger Cookies
And two last fall favorites: first Grandma Maxine’s Ginger Cookies. These are all the flavors of fall wrapped up in one cookie. The best!
Sugar-Free Apple Crumble
And finally, sugar-free apple crumble. All the flavors of fall without eating too much sugar. Happy Fall, dear readers!
