I am usually a pie fan for dessert, but If I am going to request a cake, it is going to be this Homemade Chocolate Cake my mother makes. It is actually dubbed “Sour Milk Chocolate Cake” and is my Grandma Esther’s recipe…just didn’t think that a recipe that included “sour milk” in the title sounded appetizing so I changed the name. (Is that allowed?)
This cake is super moist and has what I would describe as a fudgy glaze frosting….not too rich, but just right! My husband is a pie fan too, however this is the cake he request for his birthday…you know, because the kids think you have to have a cake for your birthday!
