Do you ever get the itch to bake on a cold, snowy day? And is there anything better on a cold, snowy landscaped day than a warm cinnamon roll smothered in caramel sauce with pecans, accompanied by a very fresh cup of coffee? Umhummm…..I agree.
Christmas is coming early for our family. Getting some baking done and into the freezer is definitely my plan; however, the stomach is often times the destination of the fresh baked goods, rather than the the freezer. 🙁 Do you have that at your home, too? Doesn’t seem to matter how much I make, it is a problem. I admit, fresh out of the oven is best. This recipe, though, works well for the freezer.
For this particular recipe, I use the dough from
- For Pecan Caramel Sauce for 1 pan of rolls.
- ¼ C butter, melted
- ½ C brown sugar
- 2 T corn syrup
- 1 C pecans
- For each roll recipe:
- 2 T butter, melted
- 2T sugar
- 1 t cinnamon
- For pecan caramel sauce:
- Melt butter in a 8x8 or round cake pan; stir in brown sugar and corn syrup until all is mixed together. Pour pecans onto the bottom before adding the rolls. The homemade white bread recipe makes 4 pans of rolls. For each pan:
- Roll out dough 8"x12" (approx). Spread butter on dough, then sugar, and finish with cinnamon. Roll up and seal the edge. Slice into 1" pieces (approx) and place in pan filled with pecan mixture.
- Bake at 375 degrees.
Enjoy! But don’t enjoy it alone. Invite one to your table with your favorite cup of…..and let me know who you invited. I would love to hear!
We are to love one another as Christ loves us. WOW! That’s a big order, but He doesn’t give us more than we can handle. Never.
Have a great day, friend. You are loved!
