Do any of you have a go-to hostess gift during the holidays? If I have time, I try to make a homemade treat for the various hostesses over the holidays. (makes a great teacher gift too!) Each year it seems to vary…homemade cinnamon rolls, homemade fudge, or Caramel Crunch. to name a few. My mom is known for sharing her homemade hot fudge sauce each Christmas. It’s divine! This year I decided my hostess gift would be this Cinnamon Honey Butter with a loaf of homemade bread. Perfect morning treat the day after hosting a gathering! I’ve been putting the butter in a little mason jar with a label and wrapping the bread in butcher paper tied together with twine and cinnamon stick. So far, it’s been a well received gift, one a little different than the normal.
Our family enjoys this butter on homemade bread, cinnamon toast and even a hot sweet potato. It’s a fun treat to have around the house this time of year.
Here are a few quick and easy bread recipes to enjoy with your homemade cinnamon honey butter:
- 1 stick of butter, room temperature
- 3 Tbs favorite honey
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp kosher or sea salt
- combine butter, honey, cinnamon and salt into bowl of electric mixer. Mix with paddle attachment until thoroughly combined. May need to scrape side of bowl and attachment.
- Serve at room temperature
