For Molly’s birthday this year, Shelby decided to plan something a little extra special. She invited the family girls to Farmhouse Collectibles, a nearby social canvas place. This was perfect because Molly is artistic and creative.
As we excitedly planned the evening (through 1,000 group texts), we decided to make an Italian themed dinner. Molly once spent a semester studying art in Rome and we thought it might bring back fun memories from that time. Also, Italian food is scrumptious.
The evening was so much fun. Our fearless leader, Kendra, taught us how to make an abstract painting of a spring flower. She was so encouraging and patient with our novice group!
We laughed and chatted and cheered one another on in our artistic endeavor.
We nibbled on this delicious Antipasto Platter of cheeses and meats and
these refreshing Caprese Salad Skewers
And for the grand finale, we feasted on these Italian Wedding Cake Cupcakes. My mom has been making these for years, and they are decadent, moist, and DELICIOUS. (And the best part is that they start with a cake mix. What could be easier?)
All in all, a fabulous evening!
We love you, Molly! You add so much fun, creativity, and love to our family.
