Hi friends. How is your summer going? Are you reading any good books during hot summer afternoons or on road trips with your family? I have been trying to read to my kids a lot this summer, and I have also tried to carve out a little extra time just to read on my own. Reading is simply one of my favorite summer things to do.
Today I want to tell you about one of my favorite authors and her wonderful books. Meet fellow Iowan, Kimberly Stuart.
I know Kim in real life (as in she was once my Bible study leader and now we see each other at our kids’ Saturday morning basketball games). She is delightfully genuine and fun in real life, and her personality carries over into her books. Kim is the author of five (wonderful!) published novels, including the Heidi Elliott series, Act Two, Stretch Marks, Operation Bonnet and a sixth, Sugar, set to release February 2017. She tells me that Sugar is a Sleepless in Seattle meets Food Network. Sounds FUN! I can’t wait! You can check out all of her books right here.
These are books that I have read and reread when I want to be challenged, yet feel like a good laugh. All of her books center around an interesting woman main character, and Stuart writes in an honest, heartwarming way each time. She really gets women, and I’m telling you, you will love these stories. If you want to laugh and cry and laugh again, these are the books for you.
And great news! It’s GIVEAWAY time! Kim has offered to give one lucky TGA reader two of her fabulous books: Balancing Act and Operations Bonnet.
