The Gingham Apron crew spent a lot of time together over the Labor Day weekend and boy did we have fun! Nope….we didn’t labor much!
But first, I just want to say…..
Good morning, everyone. How are you today? It’s beginning to feel like fall in SW Iowa. The leaves are beginning to spiral to the ground. I saw a few red ones in the burning bushes yesterday. Is it really that time? Are you ready? I’m not quite sure, but I am very glad for the amazing temperatures. And….I think everyday this week will have a rating of “10” from Jerri Ann, our weather gal on WHO TV out of Des Moines. Plan to catch up on the yard and gardening this week, and I’m looking forward to it. I LOVE the outdoors this time of year!
Currently, the men are highly focused on harvest. The machines are oiled and ready. Perhaps next week they’ll begin. And then…….IT’S A RACE TO THE FINISH!
Okay, back to the weekend highlights. I captured some photos to show you a flourish of activities within a few hours of time. Here we go!
Above is the plane that brought the “Cali Kids” back home for the weekend. We picked them up in Omaha.
Check out the above video. Thomas enjoyed the ride!; little John decided that his sheep was just too “fat and stinky” and he wasn’t going to place his hands on it! (Smart kid, if you ask Grandma! 😉
Wedding time! Lincoln was honored to be the ring bearer at their former babysitter’s wedding. She lived on the same block and became very close to the kids. (The pic of Annie and Lincoln doesn’t want to cooperate and be a larger size! :/
Birthday prep for Matthew’s 8th birthday!
Photo of Olivia didn’t enlarge either.
There was also a little farmin’ and some target practice with Gramps. They truly love being together on the farm! We all do!
The joy of the Lord is our strength. We delight in Him!
