Layered Chili Cheese Dip

If you have followed our blog much, by now you have probably realized the majority of my recipes are simple.  This Layered Chili Cheese Dip would be near the top of the easiest recipes to make.   In fact, it’s so simple, my four year old daughter made it.  It’s true.  Now, if you are wondering…if it’s so simple, is it good?  Yes, it’s very delicious.   Can you go wrong with warm gooey layers of cream cheese, chili beans and cheddar cheese?    No, I don’t believe so.  🙂


Layered Chili Cheese Dip

Ingredients
  • 1 block cream cheese
  • 1 can hormel chili (with or without meat, your preference)
  • 1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional:
  • Chopped onion
  • Black olives
Instructions
  1. Place the block of cream cheese in the center of a small serving platter. Microwave for approx 1 minute to soften. Remove from microwave and smooth cream cheese with a spatula to cover he entire bottom of the serving dish.
  2. Empty can of chili on top of cream cheese and spread evenly.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over chili.
  4. Microwave in 30second intervals until cheese melted thoroughly.
  5. Top with optional toppings as desired
