Being beef producers, we love our steak! Grilled, fried, baked, we make our steaks in a lot of different ways.
With the flavors of mustard and garlic, this marinade leaves our steaks tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. And the finishing touch of the garlic butter turns an ordinary steak into a decadent, special dish.
- 4-6 steaks (We use New York Strip, Rib Eye, or Filet)
- For the marinade:
- 1 t. ground ginger
- 1 t. dry mustard
- 1 T. molasses or sugar
- ½ c. soy sauce
- ¼ c. salad oil (canola)
- 3 cloves, minced garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
- For the Garlic Butter:
- ½ c. unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 T. minced fresh thyme or 1 ½ t. dried
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
- 1-2 dashes of Tabasco sauce
- Mix marinade ingredients together. Pour over meat and marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. (The longer you marinate, the more tender and flavorful).
- Sprinkle both sides of meat with salt and pepper.
- Prepare a charcoal, gas, or indoor grill over medium-high heat. Grill steaks directly, turning 2 to 3 times, until well browned on the outside, 8-12 minutes total or to desired temperature. Transfer to a platter, cover with aluminum foil, and let rest for 5 minutes.
- While steak is resting, mix ingredients for Garlic Butter. Spoon 1-2 T. of the flavored butter on top of each steak and serve.
