November is here, and I’m thrilled. November is one of my favorite months; as the weather gets chillier outside, our hearts are turned toward cozy homes and time together as a family. Thanksgiving is perhaps my favorite holiday, and I seem to enjoy it more and more with each passing year.
This month’s Scripture writing plans are focused on Cultivating Thankfulness (from the Busy Mom) and Thanksgiving (from Sweet Blessings). They both look great!
I read awhile back that the Pilgrims sang this Psalm together when they arrived in America. It’s so interesting to think that the same words of praise have been used for so many years and connect us to our history.
Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving grateful praise.
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are hisa];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
I especially love verse 3: “we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” To me, that means that He is gently caring for me each and every day.
I hope you join us this month and really dig into God’s word and what it tells us about Thankfulness. I know we won’t be disappointed!
