“On the evening of that first day of the week when the disciples were together with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After He said this, He showed them His hands and side. The disciples were OVERJOYED when they saw the Lord.” John 20: 19, 20
Our Easter holiday celebrations are over until next year. The egg hunt is over; our Easter clothes are in the wash; the special foods have vanished or perhaps there are but a few leftovers, and the good dishes put away. The sound of children laughing and playing have faded and the work week is again upon us. But for Jesus’ followers, He has called us, just like the 12, to spread the gospel, love one another and forgive each other. Christians have the hope of eternity with the dawn of each new day.
Are you OVERJOYED this day?
Put your hope in Christ Jesus
The appearances of Jesus after His resurrection are exciting to read. The accounts are at the close of each of the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John for a little quiet time with the Lord today.
Have a great Monday!

Thank you, Joan. Just struck a chord with me when I read that verse….overjoyed! From bewildered to overjoyed. That’s what the Lord can do for us!
