Southern Peach Cobbler
We just can’t seem to get enough of those Georgia peaches that are in peak season right now. They are just so delicious all by themselves. I’ve been eating one a day for the last few weeks – all by itself, on top of oatmeal for breakfast, at lunch with cottage cheese, on top of ice cream for dessert…
This time of year hits, and there’s an array of ripe fruits to be enjoying. I love the rustic-ness of cobblers. They bring out the fresh flavors of the fruit without over powering it. And they always always go pair so nicely with ice cream. Simply irresistible!
This Southern Peach Cobbler uses a touch of cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg, and will leave your house smelling aromatically wonderful. My family was disappointed when I said we would be having this dessert at supper not lunch – but it was well worth the wait. Not only is this cobbler delicious, but also makes a lot. Enjoy!
