Aren’t they cute? I received a really fun gift a couple Christmases ago–a fancy muffin/cake pan. I don’t use it much, but when I do, the results make me smile! Whether you have a fancy pan like this, or a molded bread pan, or the regulars, this recipe is sure to please. Today I’m giving you a quick box recipe with homemade glaze. So simple! But before I get started on the recipe…..you know me……I just have to start with another beautiful Iowa sunrise, which makes my heart quite merry.
As Mr. Farmer read devotions today, we were reminded about the words we say……uplifting or negative. Funny, one of the points in our sermon yesterday was the same thing. In today’s reading it said, “a discouraging remark can be a deadly weapon.” (From Our Daily Bread) It’s a tactic the enemy uses to weaken us. Remember Goliath’s words to David? So…..as I gazed at the beautiful sunrise, I decided to challenge myself and you to watch our words today. Nothing negative today…….that’s a hard one! (May need to ask the Lord for help. 🙂 )
By being reminded of this verse, my day goes better. This is good spiritual food to think on!
Now, back to the physical food:
Cute pan, huh?
Mr. Farmer says, “Good job.” I smile again. 🙂 Those positive words really are heartwarming.
I hope you warm hearts all around you today.
