This summer we took a road trip out West. We visited the Sand Hills of Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. We spent a lot of time exploring and a lot of time in the car.
Survival with little ones in the car means lots of various activities to do and lots of snacks. 🙂 Along with all the prepackaged easy to grab snacks, I like to bring a long some homemade treats as well. One of them we brought this year was this Ranch Snack Mix. It’s a kid-friendly spin on the classic I remember growing up with. If I just attempted to serve seasoned oyster crackers I would probably get a lot of noses turned up at me…but adding in the Goldfish crackers made my kiddos eager to try them. They were a hit!
In the middle of our road trip we met up with my family in Estes Park stayed at the YMCA of the Rockies. This is our second time staying here and it was as equally as fun and beautiful as the last time. Lots of fun family activities to do right on location, situated at the base of Rocky Mountain National Park.
With school right around the corner (insert tears) I plan to add this snack mix to my list of take along with us on our busy days and also for after school snacks.
