There are several perks to having a sister whom is a Family and Consumer Science teacher (Home Economics for those of another generation). One of those perks is when she shares delicious recipes that are so simple, even her students can make them. One of those recipes would be this, Refrigerator Brownie Cake. It a creamy, chocolaty brownie treat! Check out the easy recipe below!
- 1 box of brownie mix (Plus ingredients mix calls for)
- 1 egg (additional - this makes brownies more like cake)
- 1 (8oz) package of cream cheese, softened
- 1 c powdered sugar
- 2 cartons of cool whip (16 oz total)
- 1 pkg chocolate instant pudding
- 1 pkg vanilla instant pudding
- 3½ cups mil
- mini chocolate chips for topping
- Make brownie mix according to box directions
- Add additional egg
- Bake according to directions in a 9"x13" greased pan.
- While baking, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 carton of cool whip
- Once brownies have cooled, put cream cheese mixture on top of brownies
- Whisk puddings and milk together and layer on top of cream cheese mixture
- Spread second container of cool whip on top of pudding layer
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. (up to 1 day)
