Swizzle Summer Sundae
Are you wondering what in the world is a “Swizzle Summer Sundae”? Yes, that was my reaction, too. We love our sweets around here and especially ice cream has been a refreshing dessert.
Typically, we just have a simple bowl of ice cream, on some occasions we will add a cone because they are just fun and add a little crunch. The other night, my daughter said, “Let’s make a Swizzle Summer Sundae“. I thought this was just something she was just coming up with on a whim, but then she proceeded to tell me about the specific ingredients found in this Pinkalicious treat: an ice cream cone, pink ice cream, sprinkles, strawberry syrup, whipped cream, cookie crumbs, and a cherry on top.
So, I was up for it…I must say it was quite delicious and the kids thought it was the BEST thing ever. As we were about to assemble, my daughter found the Pinkalicous episode that this was shown previously. We double-checked our ingredients and the right order before preparing. It was equally as fun to make as to eat. Beware the strawberry syrup comes out fast – hence, the pool of it on the bottom. 😉 When we finished up, they both looked at me and said, “Can we have this every night”? “Welllllll, maybe for special occasions,” I replied. 🙂
