Our kitchen project is continuing…and things are getting closer to be complete. The finish line is in site, hooray! I am so thankful it is summer during this process. We are managing to spend a lot of our time outdoors and utilizing the grill, as much as possible.
This week, the floor tile was installed and grouted. Our contractor did a great job and was very meticulous along the way. Because the floor was under construction, we had limited access to the washer and dryer – they were moved out for a few days – so the flooring could be installed underneath. So I was back to my college days of bringing laundry to my Mom’s to keep us going – thank you, Mom!!
We are keeping up with our dishes in the bathroom sink; however, I don’t know what I would do without paper plates and plastic cutlery – they have been a life save. I never knew how much I could use them in a month’s time 😉 All of the electrical is complete. By the end of this upcoming week, we should have all of our pendant light fixtures installed. Shiplap will wrap-around our island, and countertops are scheduled for installation by the end of the week. Then will come wall tile and lastly doors and trim. With great anticipation, our farmhouse will have a new look, be more efficient and purposeful.
