Times Tables The Fun Way! The title of this book pretty much sums it up! I stumbled upon this most DELIGHTFUL book awhile back, and I wanted to share it with all of you. If you’ve got a child or a grandchild who is at the stage of learning their times tables, you will definitely LOVE this book. I really cannot say enough good things about it!
Times Tables the Fun Way turns each fact into a story, complete with a bright, colorful picture. The stories are engaging and just silly enough that children laugh and more importantly, REMEMBER the fact they need to learn. This turns learning math facts into a visual learning experience, which engages an additional part of the brain and helps them memorize more quickly- perfect!
This book is quirky and fun, and it works! I am using it now with my son Bennett, and he was able to learn most of the 8 facts (I always thought those were the hardest) in one day. He kept saying, “Let’s read another one.” I think it’s so cute when I ask him, “What is 8×4?” and he answers, “Dirty Too! (32)” You’ll have to check out this book to find out why the piggies in the 8×4 story is “Dirty Too!”
I am always on the hunt for creative, fun ways to help my kids learn. This resource is so much more effective and enjoyable than the traditional flash cards or timed-tests that I have used with my other kids (Sorry, girls. I wish I would’ve known.). Bennett is learning and having fun while doing it, and so I am one happy mom. Three cheers for Times Tables The Fun Way!
