Molly, Ava, and Jack brought us a jar filled with Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses. So thoughtful and so delicious!
I got so many hugs and kisses from the kiddos that my cheek was sticky and crusty! I wasn’t about to wash them off!
“We love because He (Jesus) first loved us.” I John 4:19
This verse was the subject of our little devotional last Saturday, as we gathered in our living room to begin our St. Valentine’s Day Party. And what a fun-filled, sticky-filled, joy-filled party it was! Come along and see the highlights with me.
There’s Molly instructing the crew of 8 of the 10 kiddos on making Valentine’s. I chose Molly to be in charge of this task because she has an eye for creativity. The other 2, the babies, Jack and John, weren’t too interested. 🙂
Annie brought 4 dozen heart-shaped cookies to decorate, and decorate they did!
- 1-2 liters Gingerale, Sprite, or 7up cold
- 1½ gallon raspberry or strawberry sherbet (softened)
- In large bowl, smash ice cream with a potato masher (or similar utensil). Add in pop and stir. Serve immediatlely.
Little Miss Anna was covered from head to toe with frosting and sprinkles…..literally!
I really think the cookies look good enough for a bakery showcase, don’t you?
The cookies are long gone now………………..the party is over……………….the stickiness……………………………still working on that 🙂 (so worth it)!
The Memories are there to TREASURE forever.
“Beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God and everyone who loveth is born of God and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God, for God is love. Beloved let us love one another.” Ist John 4:7,8
Happy Belated Valentine’s Day.
