Break angel food cake into bite size pieces
Whisk pudding and milk together until smooth, fold in cool whip
Place 1/3 of angel food cake bites in bottom of small trifle bowl or other clear glass bowl as desired
Top with 1/3 of pudding mixture
Place a layer of fruit on top (you can do a mixture of both strawberries and blueberries or do individual layers like I did to give a more distinct red, white and blue pattern)
Repeat layering with remaining ingredients.
For the top layer decorate berries as desired. I did a star pattern this time. Other ideas: flag pattern or assorted for a more rustic look
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Best served the same day as made.
