Fresh Strawberry Pie

A super easy a delicious warm-weather sensation. (Actually it works for anytime of year.)

Ingredients

  • 1 single deep dish pie crust, baked
  • 1 4 oz. pkg strawberry jell-0, reg or sugar free
  • 1 C sugar or sugar substitute
  • 2 T corn starch
  • 1 1/4 C Water
  • 2-3 pints fresh strawberries, divided
  • 1 pint whipped cream or Cool Whip; Ready Whip for garnish

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine jello-O, corn starch, water and sugar. Bring to boil, stirring occassionally. Cool slightly, yet still pourable.
  • Slice strawberries, leaving a few whole for garnish. Fill pie shell. Add whole strawberries, filling the center, pointed end up.
  • Pour strawberry filling over all the strawberries
  • Refrigerate until filling is completely set.
  • Top with whipping cream
