In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, onions, salt, and pepper.
Stir in the bacon and cheddar.
Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Place the pie on a rimmed baking sheet to prevent the filling from spilling over into your oven. (Its so much easier to clean a baking sheet than the bottom of your oven!)
Bake until the quiche is golden and set in the center, about 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
